Our family-owned and run coffee roasting business, Capital Coffee, spans multiple generations and has a history going back almost 40 years.
By 2010 we thought it was high time we we put into practice everything we knew about successful coffee shops run by our customers and opened Caffè Capital in Claygate.
It’s given us a valuable insight and respect for the challenges faced by the independent coffee shop.
It’s not easy. It’s not exactly glamorous, but it’s a lot of fun.
The biggest lesson we’ve learned?
People come back for good coffee that’s well made.
No prizes for guessing whose coffee we use.
All of our coffee available in Claygate is hand-roasted in small batches by our master roaster.

We are pleased to share that Caffè Capital has become one of just two Cobham businesses to join the anti-food waste app ‘Too Good to Go’.
It’s been 3 months since Caffe Capital opened its doors to the people of Cobham. And what a 3 months it has been!
